The CEDIA tradeshow is in Atlanta this year which is the corporate headquarters for
Wi-Ex. Since the attendees will be visiting “our town” we asked the employees of Wi-Ex to share some of their favorite places.
Courtney – The Atlanta Aquarium where he recently spent the night and had breakfast with his daughter. (Downtown) www.Georgiaaquarium.org
Desiree – The High Museum of Art (Midtown) www.high.org
Lee – The Varsity the World’s Largest Drive-In Restaurant (Downtown near Georgia Tech) www.thevarsity.com Lee says you gotta visit the Varsity
Derick – Dannemans Coffee on Edgewater (Downtown) www.dannemans.com

Deanna – If you love seafood then Legal Seafoods is a must stop in Atlanta. In addition to having great seafood they have an awesome gluten free menu so if you or someone you are traveling with has gluten or food allergy issues the Legal Seafoods is a MUST visit! I recommend the GF Caesar salad and GF fried (yes for those of you out there that are gluten free I said FRIED!!!) shrimp! They have an entire menu for those of you like me. Another plus is it’s convenient to the convention center! Enjoy! (OK, now you know why Deanna is in PR)

Roni – The King Center (Downtown) www.thekingcenter.com The Civil Rights story has been a big part of Atlanta’s history. My aunt is writing a book about Rosa Parks, so we have toured various locations related to the Civil Rights movement and the King Center is very interesting.
John suggests the Fox Theater for a great show (Downtown) www.foxtheater.com
Sharon thinks Fat Matt’s Rib shack has the best ribs in town. It’s small, crowded, picnic tables and yet a blues band plays at one end. Don’t let the line out the door or the “shack” appearance detour you – pit moves and it’s worth it. www.fatmattsribshack.com/about.php
A few other wonderful places mentioned by several people are:
-The World of Coca Cola www.worldofcocacola.com
-Six Flags Over Atlanta www.sixflags.com
-Atlanta Botanical Gardens www.atlantabotanicalgardens.org
-Fernbank Museum www.fernbankmuseum.org
Your friends at Wi-Ex hope you can visit some of our favorite places while visiting Atlanta. See you at CEDIA!
